Michael Burns Professional Experience
Mr. Burns is a hydrogeologist and Licensed Geologist in North Carolina (License Number 1645), South Carolina (License Number 2408) and Florida (License Number 2431). He has extensive experience conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Hydrogeological Site Assessments, Comprehensive Site Assessments, and Corrective Action Plans.
Mr. Burns is familiar with all aspects of groundwater assessment and remediation from delineating the extent of contamination, if present, to designing and installing successful remediation systems. He has conducted assessments and remedial actions in the Piedmont, Blue Ridge and Coastal Plain provinces of the Carolinas. He has been actively involved in and responsible for all phases of investigation from well site selection and installation to sampling, aquifer testing, initiating recovery, and reporting to the client and regulatory agencies. As a hydrogeologist, Mr. Burns actively performs groundwater modeling and subsurface aquifer studies.
Mr. Burns is Site Assessment and Remediation Division Director for offices in the Carolinas and northern Georgia. Responsibilities also include environmental documentation, coordination with regulatory agencies, permit and document preparation.
