Phase I ESAs - Since the firm was formed, ESI has completed over 3,000 ESAs, including projects at multiple sites, throughout the southeastern U.S. Projects have included tracts of raw land up to 44,000 acres, developed commercial and industrial properties, residential properties, and agricultural lands. Properties assessed by ESI personnel have included, among others, apartments, asphalt plants, automotive dealerships and repair shops, cattle ranches, chip and lumber mills, marinas, circuit board manufacturing plants, citrus farms, dry cleaners, gas stations, metal fabricators, hotels/motels, paint manufacturers, industrial printing facilities, landfill facilities, shopping centers, and truck repair and transportation facilities.
Phase I Corridor ESAs - ESI professional staff have managed and completed numerous corridor ESAs, including projects that extend over 40 miles, for the presence of hazardous substances and petroleum products. Corridor ESAs, particularly for transportation, pipeline and utility projects, are useful for determining right-of-way footprints during the planning stages to avoid or limit project activities being associated with contaminated soil or ground water. ESI's diverse staff often conducts corridor ESAs, ecological, and cultural resource studies simultaneously to assist in overall environmental project planning.
Phase II ESAs - ESI has completed numerous Phase II ESAs at various industrial and commercial sites. These studies have included the analysis of soil and groundwater samples, the identification contamination sources, and the determination of the extent of contamination and potential impacts upon the site.
