South Bank Dredging

ESI

Environmental Services, Inc. (ESI) participated on a project team to permit the dredging of the St. Johns River the majority of the length of the South Bank River Walk in anticipation of boat mooring use during Super Bowl 2005. The project area encompassed 7.49 acres of open water and six discrete dredge areas from the Acosta Bridge to the end of the Riverwalk. Approximately 27,000 cubic yards of material was permitted to be removed, along with repair of an existing public boat ramp.

ESI prepared permit application materials, responses to request for additional information, and provided coordination with the permitting agencies to acquire permits within a timely manner. ESI was responsible for coordination between the engineer, the City of Jacksonville, and the regulatory staff to ensure that issues were identified, tasks completed, and questions addressed.
